“In February 2023, the concert march “Magis” was commissioned to the composer Andrés Álvarez, dedicated to Maestro Luís Oliveira, it emerged as a movement organized by the musicians of the Lagares Musical Band, in order to eternalize the appreciation, affection, dedication and union that our maestro transmits to the group.

Magis is the word from which Magister (master in Latin) is derived, Magis means “more” which is synonymous with Magnus (Great).”
